Linux.com features a review of the Wikibook 'Blender 3D: Noob to Pro' that was started by David Millet. It also sheds some light on David's new project: 'Blender 3D: Go Pro!'.
They write:
Blender 3D: Noob to Pro has its flaws, but it is unquestionably the best introduction to this large, complex software studio. Readers familiar with other 3D modeling and animation applications will find no better resource for learning Blender's challenging user interface, and readers new to 3D itself will find the educational material helpful, practical, and easy to follow.
In my opinion the review is a bit unfair in that they compare a community effort with commercially written books who can afford editors, but I'm sure that their remarks will only help to improve the quality in the long run.
Maybe it's nice to add here that B3:N2P was the Wikibook of the month July 2005!
Update: I just found out that I've been talking to David on the IRC for months but I hadn't made the connection :-) *slams head on table*

It could be worse, like helping Ton Rosendaal with the organisation of rooms for the first Blender Conference, and after having worked about 30 minutes asking him: "by the way...we haven't introduced ourselves, who are you?".
