Very impressive and funny! I like it a lot!
My only real criticism is that the first shot of the alien's battery terminal (immediately after it's deployed) is too short. Though it's of course obvious what it is because of the human's subsequent actions, the audience doesn't really get a chance to see the device long enough to comprehend what it is. I couldn't even match where he connected the jumper cables with that shot without going back and stopping the movie to look at it.

thank so much for your kind words. Yeah.. you are right! That shot (and also some others) has some mistake that we made in the pre-production process. We have to learn to put more energy in the story boarding before shooting.
Well done, a nice witty short! I agree with Brian's crit and would add:
My main crit would be that the grass doesn't move when the UFO blasts skyward - even though there's a lot of dust kicked up. If you don't fancy recreating the grass with a hair solver you could create segmented polies with textures as clumps of grass and animate those.
